I love that you kept the rock garden! Spent entire summers at this place in the 1960s when it was owned by the odinas family. It was ‘venta apts’ then and our fam started going there when i was 5. The first time we left to go back home, i cried on the beach, i loved it so much. I need to see more pictures…by viewing google satellite, it looks like the tennis court is gone, but hey.

To this resort, not since the 70s…but spent lots of time up the street toward gintaras during the 80s among the hordes of lithuanian kids…we’ll drive through u.p. during trips to traverse city or ludington, just to see it again. Summertimes lately, with our now 10 yr old, we usually go to 12th st beach in chicago…or to beverly shores…or indiana dunes. Rarely overnighting anywhere, sad to say. Staying at venta, 2-3 weeks at a time the way we did seems like such a wonderful indulgence, that we rarely have the time for…tho we do ski in colorado and visit orlando occasionally.
